Independence Day!

We have a few suggestions for where to watch fireworks for America’s Birthday!

Play ball!  Cheer on the Lansing Lugnuts as they play the Great Lake Loons on July 4th and 5th.  Then stay and enjoy the fireworks sponsored by LAFCU.  Cooley Law School Stadium is located at 505 East Michigan Avenue, Lansing.  The games start at 7:05 pm.

The City of Lansing will be hosting a parade through the downtown beginning at 11 am.  The parade starts at the Capitol.  The celebration continues with a patriotic performance by the Lansing Concert Band at 8 pm, followed immediately by fireworks – all held at Adado Riverfront Park – they are going to light up the sky with over 1500 fireworks!

Eaton Rapids High School will be celebrating Independence Day on July 4th starting with a parade at 11:00 am.  Their fireworks display will begin at dusk at 800 State Street, Eaton Rapids.

Meridian Township will have fireworks starting at dusk on the 4th of July at 5151 Marsh Road, Okemos.  The best view will be on the north side of the Meridian Mall.  Just in case of rain or high winds they will reschedule fireworks for July 5th.

Enjoy fireworks at the Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason – 700 East Ash Street, Mason.  Fireworks start at dusk.

The Rotary Club of St. Johns will hold its annual 4th of July celebration at St. Johns City Park – located at 805 West Park Street, St. Johns.  Entertainment begins at 5 p.m. in the performance shell.v Fireworks will also be starting at dusk.

We hope everyone has a fun and safe Independence Day!!
